City of Rocks Retreat was an Awesome find! We absolutely love the Red Roof Cabin, which is our new go to lodging when we go to play at the City of Rocks and Castle Rocks. Both parks are literally less than ten minutes away! Booking this vacation rental is easy with Airbnb and the hosts Ross and Sherida are as responsive, helpful, and friendly as the reviews say. Though rustic from the outside, the cabin has all the modern conveniences. The air conditioning was great after a hot day on the trails and it's nice to be able to do a load of laundry. Ross told us where to look for deer in the evenings and we saw 12 big bucks just up the road from the cabin!! Trying to arrange some time off in fall and to get my out-of-state license to chase those bucks. Hope to be back to the City of Rocks Retreat this fall for some hunting.
